Catechism & 5th – 6th Grade Religion
Pastor Mark Voss teaches Catechism and 5th – 6th grade religion classes. Pastor Voss has been serving as pastor at Divine Grace since the summer of 2003. He was born and raised in Green Bay, Wisconsin. He graduated from Northwestern College in Watertown, WI in 1986, and from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Mequon, WI in 1990. He spent the first 13 years of his ministry serving as an associate pastor at Salem Lutheran Church in northwest Milwaukee before coming to Divine Grace.
In addition to serving as pastor at Divine Grace, Pastor Voss is also the circuit pastor of the St. Clair Circuit of the Michigan District. He thoroughly enjoys preaching, teaching, and interacting with God’s people both young and old.
Pastor Voss is married to Lori, an administrative assistant at a large company not far from Lake Orion. They are blessed with four wonderful daughters and a son-in-law. Pastor is a huge sports fan (especially his beloved Green Bay Packers) and enjoys doing all kinds of DIY projects around the house.
5th – 8th Grade
Rachel Nottling joined the teaching staff at DGLS in 2018. Rachel is the second of Pastor David and Linda Nottling’s five children. She attended school at Zion Lutheran (Chesaning, MI), St. John’s (Fox Lake, WI), Luther Preparatory High School (Watertown, WI), and Martin Luther College (New Ulm, MN).
In 2007, Rachel was assigned to teach Kindergarten-4th grade at Peace Lutheran School in Otsego, MI. Three years later, she accepted a call to Christ the King Elementary School in Palm Coast, Florida. In Florida she taught kindergarten and 3rd-4th grade. After four years of sun, Rachel made a cross-country move to the rainy climate of Port Orchard, Washington. There she served at Bethany Lutheran School as the 3rd-4th grade and upper grades reading teacher.
Rachel loves to spend time with her two nieces and nine nephews (and the rest of her family). She loves to cook and try new recipes. She is a very talented teacher who treasures the opportunity to share God’s Word with His lambs here at Divine Grace!
Mrs. Kadie Westendorf
3rd – 4th Grade
Kadie Westendorf was born in Adrian, MI in 1990. She graduated from Madison High School in 2008, and Martin Luther College in 2012 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education with a minor in Physical Education.
Upon graduation from MLC Kadie was assigned to teach grades 1-2 at Zion Lutheran School in Monroe, MI. She served there for 1 year before getting married to Pastor Dan Westendorf in 2013 who was assigned to be the Pastor at Crown of Life Lutheran Church in Warren, MI.
Kadie was called by Crown of Life to be the preschool teacher, director and athletic director in 2014. She served in that position until 2020.
Divine Grace called Kadie in 2020 for a 1 year call to teach grades 3-4.
Pastor Westendorf and Kadie have 2 children; Levi and Lydia.
1st – 2nd Grade
Charlotte Huebner was born in Aurora, Colorado and raised in Waterloo and Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. She graduated from Lakeside Lutheran High School in 2013. She then obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, with a physical education minor from Martin Luther College in 2017.
Upon graduation she was assigned to teach multiple grades here at Divine Grace. Currently she is teaching grades 1-2, playing organ/piano for church, and serving as the school’s athletic director.
Charlotte enjoys traveling, being with friends and family, and reading. Her expeditions have even taken her to three countries in Europe and over 30 states in America.
Kindergarten and Young Fives
Kristi Coffin was born in Tawas City, Michigan. She graduated from Michigan Lutheran Seminary in 2001. Kristi graduated from Martin Luther College, in New Ulm, MN in 2005 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education.
Prior to accepting her call to teach Kindergarten at Divine Grace in 2015, Kristi taught at Shepherd of Peace Christian Academy in Powell, Ohio. While there, Kristi taught Preschool and developed and taught their Kindergarten program. Kristi has introduced a fantastic Young Fives program at Divine Grace, integrating Young Fives in with the Kindergarteners to expand their knowledge and learning experiences.
Kristi is married to Tristram and they are blessed to have two sons, Carter and Landon. Kristi enjoys all things football! Her three favorite teams are: 1) Her son’s travel flag football team 2) Ohio State Buckeyes and 3) Detroit Lions.
