Nofftz_ Jesse D-XLMr. Jesse Nofftz

Principal & 5th – 8th Grade

Jesse Nofftz is a graduate of Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Education with majors in both Elementary and Secondary Education and a minor in History.

Jesse grew up in La Crosse, WI where he attended Mt. Calvary-Grace Lutheran Grade School and Luther High School in nearby Onalaska, WI. While attending college Jesse was also involved in several extracurricular activities; intramural sports, Student Senate, working in the athletic office, and coaching.

Jesse’s love for teaching is rivaled only by his love for sports. Born in Minnesota, he is a die-hard Minnesota sports fan. Jesse is a licensed, high school basketball, softball, and baseball official and a member of the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association. During high school and college, Jesse coached basketball, softball, and baseball at all levels ranging from elementary school to high school varsity.

 

Pastor picPastor Mark Voss

Catechism & 5th – 6th Grade Religion

Pastor Mark Voss teaches Catechism and 5th – 6th grade religion classes.  Pastor Voss has been serving as pastor at Divine Grace since the summer of 2003. He was born and raised in Green Bay, Wisconsin. He graduated from Northwestern College in Watertown, WI in 1986, and from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Mequon, WI in 1990. He spent the first 13 years of his ministry serving as an associate pastor at Salem Lutheran Church in northwest Milwaukee before coming to Divine Grace.

 In addition to serving as pastor at Divine Grace, Pastor Voss is also the circuit pastor of the St. Clair Circuit of the Michigan District. He thoroughly enjoys preaching, teaching, and interacting with God’s people both young and old.

 Pastor Voss is married to Lori, an administrative assistant at a large company not far from Lake Orion. They are blessed with four wonderful daughters and a son-in-law. Pastor is a huge sports fan (especially his beloved Green Bay Packers) and enjoys doing all kinds of DIY projects around the house.

 

 

Marie picMiss Marie Laich

1st – 4th Grade

Maire Laich graduated in 1990 from Dr. Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. Her love of learning led her to complete her Master’s Degree in Education in 2012. Marie is currently licensed in the state of Michigan.

Her first call was to teach kindergarten-2nd at Immanuel in North Richland Hills, Texas. In 1996 the school expanded and called another full time teacher and she taught 3rd -5th grades until accepting her call to Divine Grace in 2000. At Divine Grace Marie has had the opportunity to teach several different grades from Kindergarten through 5th but has focused mainly on kindergarten through 2nd grade for the last 12 years. She is currently teaching 1st – 4th grades as well as directing the hand bell choirs for the 5th – 8th grade students.

Marie also leads the adult hand bell choir, participates in choir, and has served on the circuit LWMS board. She is an avid runner and enjoys entering area races.

 

Mrs. Kristi Coffin

Kindergarten and Young Fives

Kristi Coffin graduated from Martin Luther College, in New Ulm, MN in 2005 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. Kristi currently holds an Ohio teaching license and is working on obtaining a Michigan license as well.

Prior to accepting her call to teach Kindergarten at Divine Grace, Kristi taught for 9 years at Shepherd of Peace in Powell, Ohio. While there, Kristi taught Preschool and developed and taught their Kindergarten program. Kristi is married to Tristram and they are blessed to have two sons.
